Getting started
Create an account at /signup. You'll receive an OTP — verify it once and you're in.
On first login, the dashboard greets you with an empty state and a single call-to-action: run your first interview. Everything else unlocks once you have data to display.
Running your first interview
Open Practice from the sidebar. You'll be asked for: a target role, an optional resume upload, and an optional job description.
Click Start. Your browser will request mic access — grant it. The AI interviewer will ask questions out loud; you reply out loud. Speak naturally, take pauses, treat it like the real thing.
End the call when you're done. The transcript and recording are pulled automatically and an analysis is queued. Most analyses finish within a couple of minutes.
Reading your analytics
The dashboard shows four headline numbers: total interviews, average score, practice time, and best score. These are leading indicators — they should trend up week over week.
The Performance Trend chart plots your last sessions. A flat line means you're not changing what you do between sessions; a rising line means the practice is working.
The Skill Breakdown radar covers clarity, relevance, depth, communication, and confidence. The smallest spoke is what to attack first.
Reviewing your recordings
From the practice history page, click any past session to open its detail view. You'll see the transcript, the recording, and a per-question scorecard.
Listen to your own answers at 1.25x. You'll hear filler words, rambles, and weak openers in a way you cannot while you're talking.
Common questions
Q: Why is my analysis still pending? A: Some sessions hit retry-able errors. Wait a minute, refresh, or hit Retry analysis on the session detail page.
Q: Can I delete a session? A: Not yet from the UI. Contact us if you need a session removed.
Q: Does Convey AI store my recordings? A: Yes, encrypted at rest, only on your account. See Privacy for the full policy.
